Bouncing Back

This is my "off week" which means I did not get any chemo on Thursday. Every third week is an off week, a vacation, a chance to bounce back.

I woke up this morning feeling really great, as though I had bounced back overnight.

Lou and I were in the hot tub at 7:00AM. I realized how energized I feel when I found myself looking at the flowerbeds back there and thinking that I should spend some time this morning cleaning up the bark that last night's heavy rain washed out of the flowerbeds... I must be feeling energized if I am thinking about yardwork!

I'm making blueberry pancakes for breakfast.

Lou and I are thinking about walking through the arboretum today in Chapel Hill, but nothing has been set in stone yet.

Hey Karen
So good to see you last nite. I think I may be finally among the Internet living again. Although, I hate to speak to loudly, they (whoever they are) may take it away again. Anyway, that's why I have not been sending you notes on your blog - no Internet for 12 days. Laurene was at my house one day when I got off the phone with ATT&T, she just looked at me and said "You are a true Southern girl". I had ended my conversation politely with the agent although I was a seething mad woman at the situation. PROGRESS, not perfection.
You looked wonderful last nite. You must have gotten out and done some of that yard work from the evident color in your cheeks. Sorry we did not have more time to visit. I hope my move will be over soon. Still, if there is anything you need let me know. I can make the time Keeping you in my T's & P's.

If you're feeling really energized, you can come do my flowers - I have a few thousand weeds to pull as well. John and I have started to train for the STP (Seattle To Portland) bike ride for next year - maybe that will give me some energy. Take Care of YOU!

Thrilled to hear you're feeling so energized! Looks like I'm at the end of a long, long line so you probably won't make it to the weeds at my house. Dang! Carol Q
