Bedridden

Sorry it took me so long to update here.

I am spending almost all my time in bed, asleep.

All my work friends lunches are already cancelled.

My hour visits are being cancelled.

All my weekend visits are being cancelled.

However, I have a backlog of lovely cheery photos to post here. Hope to do it ASAP.

Love you,
Karen

Hugs Karen, you are wrapped in a blanket of prayers from all of your friends, the prayers are for your peace and comfort. No words can ever be enough to let you know how we believe that you are a spectacular person, nor could words explain the impact you have on our lives. You are constantly in my thoughts.
Love, Aunt Peggy

I love you so much and hope that when you are asleep you are wrapped in love and peace and cannot feel the pain. Words cannot express how dear you are to me and how much the time we spent together here in the Northwest means to me. You and Lou are both such amazing persons and it is clear from the messages that are being sent to you that you are both loved very much. I wish that I could be there with you!! Hi Karen,
Thank you for keeping us updated. I am often wondering how you are doing. I am sorry that you are having to cancel lunch dates and visits-I know they are fun (and the lunches always sound yummy). I hope the sleep you are getting is restful and pain-free. Looking forward to your post of pictures :) when you fell up to doing it.
Hoping you have a nice Sunday.
Sending you lots of love.

Hi sweet Karen, hope you're comfortable right now. Sending you lots of love and support. Thank you so much for keeping us posted on how you're doing.

We met a woman in Asheville who asked about our pink bands. We explained a bit about your story, and it turns out that she organizes a cancer support group in her area. She promised to keep you in her prayers as well. How cool are these bands?? :-)

Hugs,
Meredyth

Another beautiful Sunday, more beautiful because you are with us, Karen, and though our hearts ache, we will rejoice because we will carry your light with us as we go. Thank you for that. Thank you for the beauty, kindness, and grace you have brought us. Thank you for the little things that are big, like picking up Eric's insulin when we were snowed in back in Woodinville. Thank you for the wonderful summer parties. Thank you for the fun we had playing dominoes. Thank you for being Karen. We love you, Jeannie (and Eric, Tom, and Phil)

Dear Karen, Knowing you for awhile on the Eastside blessed my life way beyond the short time we knew each other. I pray for your healing, for a miracle. Also that today your pain will be eased, that all the love you have given throughout your life will come bounding back a thousand times over, that this love will cradle your spirit and light your eyes. I send you my love, Dear Friend.

Dear Karen - I just want you to know that I'm thinking of you and wishing you and Lou peace, comfort and blessings.

I have many great memories of our time together as we all worked on our novels. I still think of the great characters in your book, like 'Patty'. That was a wonderfully creative period in our lives that I'll never forget.

Sending hugs your way. Love, Marta

Dear Karen,

More thank yous to give you this morning--for the Christmas Eves we shared, for your beautiful smile and your laughter when we played games at the kitchen table, for the joy I felt when I'd open the door to find you and Lou coming up the walk in the summer or in the winter. Thank you for your loving friendship! And of course I'm wishing you peace and comfort every moment, from Jeannie

Hello Karen and Lou, Thinking about both of you all day, as well as Karen's mom and dad, and hoping that all of you are finding peace and comfort and love in each other's company. Today I was remembering your lovely home in Woodinville and all of the rocks you placed so carefully to make a border to your yard, and I think that the dogs began to try to eat all of them...... Also was remembering how much Lou loved to chain saw everything in the back tree belt. Smile. Love you very much and hope that you have a restful and pain free night. xoxo Debbie P.
